Home in the Alps
Above Abtenau, where the view stretches across the Salzburg region to the surrounding peaks, a single-family home takes shape that doesn't impose on the landscape but answers it. Clean volumes, natural materials, generous openings toward the view — a house that absorbs the stillness of its elevated setting and translates it into architecture.
For this project, ECHTRAUM visualizes the moment before the first stone is laid: the early-evening light, the mist in the valley, the sense of both openness and retreat. Not a rendering, but an experience — walkable, real, tangible.
ECHTRAUM produced the project's full visual language — from early concept stills used in the planning submission to an interactive real-time environment that lets prospective residents walk through their future homes before construction begins.
